The Mystery of 16th Digit of Microsoft Excel 2007

Is it just me or something is wrong.

It seems like excel steal every smallest digit starting from the 16th.

Try putting 9999999999999999 to a number formatted cell.

  1. Excel can only manage 15 digits of precision. But that’s a pretty big number.

  2. Its not enough when you tried to generate 16 digit sequential identification number.

    maybe i should find another way :p
